Motor Vehicle Accident

Dr. Jeff Robinson and Dr. Kelsey Hudson at ProHealth Chiropractic offer comprehensive services for evaluating and treating personal injuries. They provide specialized chiropractic care for auto injuries in order to give you the best care during each phase of the healing process, allowing you to return to your regular activities pain-free. Our doctors can also educate you about potential-long term consequences of your injury and provide strategies for minimizing them.

Our office has strong relationships with local urgent care centers, orthopedists, neurologists, MRI facilities, massage therapists and physical therapists to bring you the best and most complete care for acute trauma injuries caused by car accidents. To properly assess your injuries, we also have an x-ray unit in our office. Here, you can count on careful analysis, diagnosis, and treatment of various complications of whiplash and soft tissue injuries.

The importance of maintaining normal ranges of motion and spinal alignment.

Car accidents can cause long lasting injury that can remain hidden weeks after the time of the accident. Even low impact auto accidents, or minor collisions, can cause major injury and potentially long-term pain that is often left untreated.  Research show that accidents that don’t cause damage to your car can still injure you and your passengers.  It is important that everyone, including infants and toddlers, have a check-up after a car accident. Even if you’ve received urgent care for your car accident injury, during the weeks following the accident, it’s critical to move normally and keep the spine in proper alignment. Significant injury to muscles, tendons or ligaments is common. Doctors and emergency room staff are not trained to diagnose this soft tissue damage.  These injuries are then left untreated and get worse, leading to pain that affects your everyday life and future.

If not dealt with properly, scar tissue can limit the long-term mobility of the injured area. The ultimate consequence of not seeking chiropractic care for whiplash is spinal degeneration that only becomes harder to reverse as time goes on. The good news is that by treating the injury with precise, specific chiropractic adjustments, your body is able to heal itself over time. Let us help you move away from discomfort and into rebuilding your health.

Insurance covers it.

In Oregon, personal injury protection (PIP) coverage is mandatory for nearly all auto insurance policies. With PIP coverage in place, you and all the passengers in the car, are insured regardless of who is at fault for an accident (typically up to $15,000). It also covers you if you are a pedestrian or a cyclist. PIP insurance covers medical expenses and lost wages and will pay for your care of  injuries, including costs and co-pays for chiropractic care, out-of-pocket prescription costs, or other similar costs.
